Miami pre-cruise hotels/transfers?

We're flying from London for a Horizon cruise out of Miami in December. So we must spend the first night in Miami, and are thinking of going to the the Airport Marriott Hotel for this first night.

Any ideas on the best way of getting to the cruise ship the next day? Do taxis charge lot for the airport hotel-port of miami trip, and are they a safe choice(we're a party of two females)? Or is there a better value option such as hotel/airport shuttle bus service collecting passengers bound for the port? (We could always go back to the airport on the courtesy bus to collect such a service.)

The other option is perhaps going stright into a Miami hotel which runs a shuttle service to the cruise ships. Do any hotels have this (courtesy) service?

Also I understand the ship sails at 10pm. Does anyone know approx. when Celebrity allows passengers on board?

We're just a little wary, as we don't know Miami at all.
