Hi- I haven't seen any cruises with more than 1 day in each port with the exception of a stop in Monte Carlo- most ships come in the night before (when you can do the casino) and then give you the following full day in port also---just did Windsurf Rome to Nice and that was their scenerio--DId a Med cruise on Princess xouple of years ago and had same experience as with Windsurf....Good luck--the area is gorgeous

Thanks Paul & Andy. We've cruised in places like alaska where you just look at sights, but I would like to spend more than one day in port, especially in the bigger cities such as Rome or Athens. I went all over the world as a younger traveller, but will have husband and teens this time. Don't feel you can get much of a sense of a(big)place in one day, so would like a bit more time. Not sure, maybe the train would suit us better for this. either that or head up north to Scandinavia. Is the weather up there similar to Alaska in early June?

ONly suggestion I have is if your cruise leaves from ROme, come in a couple of days early and do you sightseeing in that city--same goes for Athens--you can also extend your cruise at the end--say if you did ROme to Nice , you could spend extrad days in ROme in the beginning and couple of days in Nice at the end...that's the only way to help you out. Usually you use a cruise as a overview to highlight an area and if you really love it, go back later and stay for an extended period of time....that's what we did on our first Med.cruise years ago...hope this helps
