Just returned from a 7 day cruise on Louis Cruise MSV Cristol. Departed Athens, Istanbul, Mykonos,Patmos, Kusadasi, Rhodes, Agios Nikolaos Crete, Santorini and back to Athens (Piraeus). Here is my rating out of 10;
Cruise agenda - 10
Cristol (ship) - 7
Clean Ship - 9
Staff - 10
Food Breakfast - 4
Lunch- 5
Dinner - 6
Snacks - never saw any
State rooms - 7 (typical for a small ship)
Drinks - Weak and expensive - 3 to 5 euros for a glass of wine or drink.
Coffee - 1, never could understand this, after all we are in Greece and Turkey????
Work out faciliy - -5 Terrible (if you are looking to work out on this ship forget it)

Would I return to the ship and the cruise line, yes the employees made it wonderful. Istanbul is wonderful, Greek Islands is a must..
Suggest buying the excursions at Istabul, Kusadasi (Ephesus) - do not miss
Mykonos - Dellos excursion (a must) you can save some money by going to shore and booking a tour for 15 euros verses 50 on the cruise ship.
Santorini - Leave the ship there and spend a few days on your own.
Athens - The relices are a must to see. The city is dirty and noisy. Would suggest a side trip to Delpi. Cost about $100 euros per person but worth it.

Last Comment : In athens we stayed at the Marriott Ledra Hotel. Absolutey a Catagory 6 Hotel. Wonderful with great help, large rooms, comfortable beds. These days you can get a great rate. Location is about 1 mile walking distance to the the ruins. Hotel has a pool on the 8th floor with a view of the Acopollos.

Transportation from Airport to downtown Athens - Should cost you about 30 euros - but the taxi drivers will attempt to add on charges. Suggest booking a limo from the airport to your hotel, might cost more but no hassel. The Marriott booked our taxi from downtown to the airport - 35 euros.

If you book a transfer with Louis Cruise from downtown Athens or the airport - 80 euros per person. Suggest booking your own taxi or limo - much cheaper 20 euros per trip.

Eating in Athens - Excellent resturants everywhere, read the menus from the read boards on the street. Water and bread is extra and they will bring it without request. Average lunch with a beer or a glass of wine 25 euros. Not cheap. Dinner plan on 50 euros.

Pick pockets - Men put your wallet in your front pocket
Ladies - Do not carry ID and money or credit cards in your pursue.
A lady from the hotel had her wallet stolen on the metro, someone unzipped her purse and took her wallet. Carry your purse in front with your hand over the top. Men follow your wives from behind to watch usual behaviour. We did not have any problem but we were careful.
