I am thinking about booking a European river cruise, Budapest to Amsterdam, for next fall. I cannot find any reviews (other than their own website) for Lüftner. Their ships all begin with the word "Amadeus". Has anyone been on a Lüftner cruise? What did you think? Also, I'd appreciate any other thoughts about AmaWaterways, Grand Circle, Viking, Uniworld, etc. We read great things about Uniworld but are concerned that the atmosphere would be too formal for us (coats and ties at dinner, etc.)

I didn't took the cruise personally but my buddy did. He tried to convince us to go with him and his fmaily but the timing just didn't work out.
He couldn't stop talking about how great the trip was and how great a time we would have together had we been there.
He liked the ship and the friendly staff. The cabin was comfortable. He really liked all the places that they visited and the excursions were included with the price although there were optional excursions.
He did mentioned that the entertainers werer "local" and food was very average and long lines to the salad bar when busy.
If you book with them, share a trip report on your return.
I did too. I like the Amadeus for cruising personally.
