We are on a Renaissance Mediterranean cruise that leaves from Barcelona. We are told that boarding starts at 3:00pm. Is there any reason to try to get on earlier? What time do they actually start to board?
Is Renaissance boarding time exact?

Golly, Judi, give the poor people some time to clean the ship!!!!
Gee, that was very helpful! I've shown up 2 hours earlier than posted on several cruises, and was boarded onto a perfectly ready ship with no problem. Judi, I'm sure, just wants to know if this applies to Renaissance as well.
I have to agree with x. Boarding time is 3pm. Why is this so hard to understand? There's a reason hotels and cruise ships have checkin and checkout times. They need to clean! Now, Renaissance will probably be quite friendly and let you on a little earlier but you'll probably be in the way of the crew even though they won't say anything about it.
