I like to pack light and I hate to iron. I was thinking about bringing one white dress shirt and one pair of slacks and one tie and one dinner jacket. I figure that should cover me for all the dinners. The formal nights I will wear the tie and Jacket, the elegant casual nights I will not wear the jacket, and the casual nights, I will wear a T-shirt.
The way I look at it, I will just have to iron the dress shirt and slacks one time and never again (just hang them up after dinner).
Will this work?
Is one dress shirt enough for 7 day cruise?

I'm certain that will suffice, Stinky.
So long as you do not dance or otherwise get sweaty, you should be fine. My only concern is what happens if you spill some food on you ronly WHITE dress shirt?
Enough with the really, really stupid posts! This is the kind of post Fodors should delete.
You are a stupid troll!
I have already copied it and am prepared to repost it if deleted. If you really do not like a post after reading it, sinply don't click on it again in the future. if enough people agree, it will eventually fall off. If Fodors deletes and it gets reposted, it can live forever. Deleting an entire post is not the way to moderate a board.
It is reasonable to try to avoid the need for a wardrobe for a vacation, but if you are going to a tropical area, you will find that it is a bit difficult to recycle clothes unless they are actually washed-especially a white shirt you wish to look crisp a neat in the evening.
I have found that I can get by with just two white shirts by using a tried a true technique: "befriend", (in a sweaty, intimate way) a young, needy unattractive girl who came on the cruise with romantic fantasies. Give her 6 to 16 minutes of your day and she will wash and iron your shirts for you and will be happy to fulfill the needs of your friend too...
Oh this is so dumb. Great though for comic relief.
