Is it smart to stay at Universal before sailing on Disney's Wonder?

Jump to last reply

Hi all. We are thinking of taking a last minute (in 2 weeks) cruise on the Disney Wonder and spending 2 nights in Florida pre-cruise. (The ship is sailing out of Pt. Canaveral). My question is, Disneyworld is almost sold out (They only had a villa catergory type room left at almost 800.00 a night for the 2 of us, they can forget it!) We were thinking of staying at Universal insted. Would we be able to get transfers from Universal (even though we are going to their competitors ship)? Also, how far is it from the port?

We can only take 6 nights off of work, or else we would take a 7 night cruise.

* We don't want to rent a car
** I also have no clue how far Universal is from Pt Canaveral

Please advise!
