Is it possible to transfer my reservation with the cruise line to an agent?
I keep reading all this "travel agent gave me $xx discount"... is it possible to transfer my reservation to a travel agent? Will I keep the same cabin (yes, I want the one I have!) How does it work?
I tried CruiseCompete before going to the cruise website, and all I was getting was "inside start from... window start from... balcony start from..." even though I was very specific.
I made a reservation with a $75 cabin credit. My father went to a travel agent, and she got them a cabin $50 cheaper, but no cabin credit, so mine is even $25 cheaper!
My head is spinning Should I just keep the existing reservation?

You can transfer your booking to travel agent if you are still outside final payment time. All it takes is a phone call to cruise line. Well, some cruise lines will ask you to fax them your request. Your cabin and any perks you had already gotten from cruise line will stay the same. TA will add onboard credit, or will reduce the price - that's the whole point of doing that. If you need a good TA, let me know. He speaks your native language, too.
