I didn't realize that when I made reservations for the Caribbean Princess next April that it would be the inuagural sailing. What happens if the ship isn't ready? Will Princess give us enough notice to schedule something else at that time? I'm nervous because we have to schedule air and hotel. Thanks for any advice.

If Princess knows far enough in advance that the ship will be delayed, they will let you know.
Sometimes the cruise lines don't know until a few weeks before if the ship won't be on time and they may cancel at the last moment. If they cancel at the last moment, you will receive all your money back plus receive a % off your next cruise.
You may want to make sure you have cruise insurnace booked that may cover this situation.
Even though I would never usually suggest booking airfare through the cruise line, in this case it might be a good idea. If the cruise is delayed you won't lose any money on the airfare. I'd book my own hotel though as you can always cancel that booking without penalty
I noticed that sevral other ships leave from Fort Lauderdale or Miami on that date. How hard is it to get a cabin on one of those at the last minute if something should delay the Caribbean Princess? Although I'd still prefer Princess, it wouldn't be a big deal to switch to RCL or HAL if I had to.
Hi, I can't find out anything about the Caribbean Princess..anywhere. I checked a couple of internet reservation sites and even looked on the Princess site. They show a Pacific Princess being on the horizon but not a Caribbean Princess. Who did you book through? Have you seen it on the internet anywhere? Thanks. I am really curious.

It also depends on when they cancel the inaugural cruise.
The Coral Princess was cancelled/delayed just weeks before her sailing. All the other ships were full (Christmas time) and most were not able to get on another sailing.
Princess announced in the spring that the Island Princess had been delayed for summer sailings. Since they announced the delay early, most people were able to switch to another ship and all was fine.
From everything I have read, the Caribbean Princess is currently on schedule as planned.
