Hi Angie:If you mean the "Everyting Cool" excursion on St. Maarten, we just returned on the 18th and went on our own on shore. After shopping around (GREAT SHOPPING), we went to that bar on our own and rented chairs and umbrella for $10.00 for the afternoon. The beer was cheap ($1.00)and we were still full from breakfast to eat lunch ashore anyway. Hope this helps.

Debbie,
Which beach did you go to? How much did the taxi cost? Any recommendation of places to eat?

Last time I was in St. Martin, it was easy to catch a bus (a van actually) from one side of the island to the other. Just stand at the stop and flag them down; otherwise they'll just sail past. I have very fond memories of rolling through the countryside in those vans.

I personally would go exploring on my own at all of these islands.

Hi Angie: I'm not sure the name of the beach, but when we got off the tender, we turned left at the main street and the "Everyting Cool" bar was a very short walk up on the left. We just walked around the town because everything is very close together. As far as places to eat, our teenagers spotted the Kentucky Fried Chicken store, so that was a done deal. Good Luck with your plans.

Hi Angie: The everything Cool Beach Party is not at orient Beach it is on the beach right in Phillipsburg. Take a taxi to Orient beach. You can get a chair, beer and umbrella for $5.00 person. There are lots of restaurants(expensive) and places to by shirts ect. In Phillipsburg there is a nice spot at the Holland Beach Hotel (much nicer on the inside and through to the patio) for a great Pina Colada and Caribbean music. Also on St. Maarten you could rent a car and tour the island it is an easy island to travel we rented at Bobby's Marina. We stopped at Marigot and many beaches and had the best day. In St Thomas Magen's Beach is beautiful and window shopping is fun especially in the Alley stores. We took the ferry to St. John excursion and went snorkling the last time we were there. have a great trip. karen
