HAS ANYONE PURCHASED A CRUISE THROUGH CRUISE.COM?
I am considering purchasing a cruise through cruise.com. They have checked out ok with the Better Business Bureau and they are registered with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
I would like to hear your experience.

Cheryl,
We booked through Cruise.com twice and
had a very possitive experience both
times. First of all, they beat all quotes and gave us the best price. Second thing, they sent all of paperwork
in plenty of time and kept us posted.
We got an upgrade two weeks before sail-
ing from a 4A to a 8D. WOW, we we in
heaven. Scott was our TA and we were
very happy with his service.
Good luck!
Laurie

We used them and everything went off without a hitch. The price of the (already incredibly cheap)cruise went down before sailing and they AUTOMATICALLY credited our credit card when this occurred! Wow! Will use them again for non-group cruise travel.

Although I have not used them, I just went on a cruise last month and some friends of ours DID use them and were upgraded significantly! They ended up in a suite right next to the Penthouse suite, and they only paid a very low rate. We were on Celbrity iNfinity. And I'll definitely consider them. Our friends went through A.J.

I didn't use cruise.com but I used another cruise company that is internet based called Abracadabra Cruises Inc. I have had more success and better service and cheaper prices from internet companies than from local travel agents. Abracadabra did an excellent job. And this is NOT a paid ad! This is one cruiser who was very pleased with the service and is happy to promote this agency.

Thanks for all your replies. I have not purchased yet, but I will soon. I sent an email to CLIA (cruising.org)asking if cruise.com is a member in good standing. Actually, I did receive a reply from the CLIA that asked for more information, i.e zip code or phone number. I sent the information and now awaiting my requested information.

Well I'm not a travel agent but I say wow too to the service and price I got from them. The only bad thing is that Ajay quit today - and I was just in the middle of booking another cruise too! Unfortunately, the other agent there that I called couldn't get the same deal that Ajay got for me. Probably not her fault, I think I waited too long to call back. I don't think you can go wrong with them.

Hi,

I read all the postings about cruise.com and their good prices. I went online and checked the price of the cruise I am taking in Mar. 2002 and the palce I booked from beat cruise.com by about 350$. I booked thru cruiseshopping.com and they were great. My TA will keep me posted by either e-mail or a phone call about new deals from Royal Carribean or a upgrade deal.

You should try them to compare !!

Scott

According to Expedia Magazine Sept/Oct 2001:

Cruise.com prices are more than the cruise-line prices. I do not kow how they get away with it.

They also advise booking with a travel agent for some of of the best rates and peace-of-mind.

And this report is from a huge web-based agency. Amazing!

Paul

I have booked one short cruise through them but every time I have checked since I have found my local cruise agent could give me a better deal. Booking with them was okay but I doubt if any specials would have been passed on to me and I really feel more comfortable with the personal contact. That plus the fact that cruise.com has normally been more expensive would lead me away from them. Incidently, Expedia was the one that says they are higher, Paul was just quoting them.
