Princess has new cruises round trip to Hawaii from LA that sound great. I've never been to Hawaii because I don't like to fly so this cruise is perfect for me (we live in So Cal). My question is : what is it like crossing all that ocean? We are taking this cruise Jan. '04. Also if anyone has cruised on the Regal I'd love to hear about it.

I have not taken this cruise, but have friends who have. They loved it, BUT there is no guarantee that the crossing will be smooth. It can get pretty rough at times.
Cara! We took the 15 day cruise to Hawaii on HAL Statendam last year! The crossing was very smooth, both coming and returning. We took the cruise where many got the virus, we did not! Going was a lot of fun and a lot of expectation,formal nites, parties, etc. The Islands were fab and we spent one day in each. there was no rush. On the return, the feeling was not the same! couldn't wait to get on terra firma. it was 5 5 5 so you spent alot of time, 10 days,on the water. we love to cruise, but this was just a tad long. You will have a good time if the weather holds, we had no rain. We left Oct 31st.....Elaine
