Trip Report HAL Rotterdam to Alaska

Jump to last reply

I returned a couple of weeks ago from our Alaskan cruise. This trip was for my mother, so it wasn't necessarily everything I would have chosen had it had been my dh and me, but it was a very nice break, nonetheless.

I've cruised once before, about 10 year ago around Hawaii, so this was practically like a first experience for me, and it was my mom's first cruise, and furthest vacation. The Rotterdam was great, and we didn't run into any problems that had been experienced shortly after her renovation.

At the risk of being lazy, rather than write out a full report, I'll link to my blog:

we2onthego.wordpress.com

My mom is 82 and primarily in a wheelchair for distances, so a focus of the blog is the needed preparation and considerations of her situation, and how well things went for her once underway.
