Feedback on the Diamond and the Mexican Riviera?
We're considering a cruise on the Diamond during March break with our 17 year-old. The last two years we've sailed on the Grand and the Golden and we've all had a fabulous time -- especially my son. Any feedback on how the itinerary of the Diamond is and whether or not many teenagers are on this cruise?

We are sailing the Diamond inaugural with our sixteen year old daughter. The ship does Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta. We were in Cabo 15 years ago and there seemed to be a reasonable amount of things to do.
It is during March break and I expect many teens and children on the cruise, remembering though, that Princess limits their numbers.
I expect the Diamond to be similar to the Grand, judging from the floor plans available.

I sailed on the Star Princess a couple of years ago, same route, same time of year (spring break). It was only the second sailing for this ship when I went. I thought Princess did a wonderful job with all the kids on the ship. They all seemed to be busy and well entertained! They had them in smaller groups by age so that activities were age appropriate. Everyone on board the ship seemed to be having a good time.
As far as ports go, there were plenty of tours available from Princess. I had been to Mexico a number of years ago and got sooooo sick from food/water that I decided to stay pretty close to the port. I took taxis into shopping areas and along beaches and had a nice time in all three ports.
I have not seen any sort of floor plan for the Diamond. If it is similar to the Star, deck 10 has the largest balconies!
