My family and I are taking the Emerald Princes Baltic cruise later this month. Most of them are doing planned excursions but several of us would rather be on our own to explore some of the cities. Our cities where we'd like to explore solo are Helsinki, Tallinn and Oslo.
What were your experiences? Was downtown (or other sites of interest) easily accessible from the boat, either by walking or a taxi?
Thanks in advance! Your help is greatly appreciated.

I can give such a information about Downtown LA Becomes a Dining Destination. Never dined in downtown Los Angeles? You’re not alone — but you may be soon. The LA Times serves up more than several tasty reasons to head to this hot ‘hood, including Chaya Downtown, Drago Centro, Rivera, Church & State, and Water Grill. There’s an array of other amazing eateries popping up in the neighborhood once known more for finance than food. Discover these downtown delights, here on http://www.opentable.com/rest_list.aspx?m=6&mn=81 & also you can find Online London Restaurant Reservations in UK on http://www.opentable.com/start.aspx?m=72&n=143.
