Hi all,

We are planning to take a Celebrity cruise from Rome to the greek isles to istanbul and back to Rome.
We were thinking of going in October/November.
Has anyone been to the area around that time period? What's the weather like?

In general it can be nice not hot, but some rain is possible.

Hi,
My husband and I went on a cruise early Nov from Venice, Greek Islands to Rome and the weather was pretty good. There were a couple of cold days and a few warms days. Basic fall temps. There hardly any tuourist and getting around was pretty easy. I would definelty go back during this time of year, We don't like the heat.
oh- don't bring a coat, you wont need it, a heay sweater will do just fine and bring a 1 or two short sleeve tee's for the possible warm days. Have fun.

I took an Eastern Med cruise in late November 2000. For the most part the weather was perfect with only a few rain showers, and every port of call was beautifully uncrowded. It's a great time to travel.

We cruised round trip last November (middle of month) from Venice calling in Greek islands, Athens, and Split, Croatia. Weather was cool in Venice, very nice in all parts of Greece (warm and sunny - well Athens was bit overcast and bit cool but not bad) and it was chilly in Split. So, you should plan on jackets, light sweaters, etc.
