14 days in Eastern Mediterranean in Oct 2010 with Norwegian Gem is about USD 1,000.00 less expensive than 12 days for a similar itinerary with Star Princess. Is NCL that much worse than Princess? (I'm used to Celebrity).
East. Med: Norwegian Gem vs Star Princess: too different??

We haven't sailed with NCL for years so I'm not much help in comparisons, but we have sailed on the Star and are sailing on her again in January. It's a bit larger than we like, but overall we found it to be well laid out, tastefully decorated; staff friendly and helpful; food very good. Our last three cruises were with Princess and we personally would prefer Princess over NCL.
Here is my personal opinion only. Not to slam NCL, if you are used to Celebrity, you won't like NCL. Princess is whole lot closer to Celebrity than NCL ever will.
