My husband and I have sailed on several Silversea cruises and loved the all-inclusive feature, the great itineraries, superb food and service.
We would like to duplicate this on a River Cruise from say Prague/Vienna to Budapest or to Seeking strong opinions and the wonderful advice of Fodorites who have always steered us in the right direction for fabulous travel opportunities.
Finding it difficult to separate "the best" from "the OK" so as to find the best cruise line.
All advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much

Really enjoyed our cruise with Avalon. Everything about the boat was first class.
We cruised with Viking on the Danube, but from Budapest to Bucharest. The ship was the Primadonna for which this is the last year with Viking. Nevertheless it was quite comfortable and well maintained. The food was excellent. The excursions were included and were generally good, but occasionally abit too much for us - but then we are in our seventies. The hotels thay used were excellent. Strongly recommend Viking.
Also, they are a bit expensive, but they will cooperate with you.

We took two river cruises on Uniworld and we loved both trips and both ships. I highly recommend them.
Our Uniworld Danube cruise included pretty much everything we wanted; wine with dinner, day tours in ports. There were some extra, optional tours, but nothing we found excessive. I highly recommend the Uniworld experience.
Thank you so much wonderful Fodorites for your fabulous assistance. You have focussed me on what details to look for so we can make our decision on which ship to take. Will post later once we are booked.
I am booked on AMA Waterways Prague to Budapest in September.
I looked at all of the river cruises, and this checked out the best. I also looked at Avalon, Uniworld, Tauck and Viking.
One nice feature is that the floor to ceiling windows is actually a door to go out on a French balcony. My sister was on Viking and their window did not open.
There are numerous videos on YouTube, including a TV show with Burt Wolf.
