Cruise.com, Direct Line Cruises or Cruise 411
My wife and I are going on our first cruise and have been talking to these companies and others, including travel agents.
Does anyone have any experience/knowledge relative to these companies. Any other helpful advice would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help.

All companies are well known, with cruise.com being the largest and therefore you may have a better chance to get the best deal with them. My agent Alex works for this company, you can e-mail him at [email protected]. Tell him spurs sent you.

Don't forget Costco,I booked a Mexico cruise with them on the Zaandam for 10 days and it was cheaper then anything else I found and I was even given an outside cabin for the same price as the inside cabin

Try http://www.cruisecompete.com before you book. Just put in your request, note the best price you have so far in the comments and see if anyone can beat it. With several hundred agents competing for your business, most of the time someone can. If not, you know you found a great deal.
Good luck!

I think when choosing a travel agent you mayu want to consider the cruise and who has the expertise to add value in addition to providing the best price. If you are going transatlantic then you may want an agent who is an expert regarding the ports you may travel to or can help you pre- and/or post-cruise with hotels, transfers etc. When cruising transatlantic or around the Mediterranean we use http://italycruise.us because besides the best price they know about the Mediterranean ports and have great prices for transfers, hotels, and even tour guides in European ports. This not only saves us even more money it provides unforgettable experiences - which adds great value to the whole experience. Happy cruising!

I used Cruise 411 for a last minute cruise in Dec. Everything went well and I really liked the agent I worked with. However, they do have a $100 cancellation fee.
I have used cruisevacationoutlet.com and they were very good as well and do not charge a cancellation fee.
