I booked a cruise through cruisecompete.com with Cruise Vacation Outlet. I received an email this morning from Cruise Compete stating they have been notified by CVO I have cancelled the cruise. WHAT??
Of course, I called my agent at CVO and all is well.Agent said I probably received the email in error. My booking is shown throught the cruiseline website as well. I still think it is strange. Now I will be checking my booking every day to be sure!
Anyone else received such emails from cruise compete?
Cruise Compete says my cruise has been cancelled!

Katy:
I have. It's a little complicated, but really wasn't a big deal. Here's what happened with me.
I had two different CruiseCompete accounts. When I booked with an agency, they accidently entered the booking into CruiseCompete's system twice. When the agency figured that out, they deleted the extra booking. CruiseCompete apparently e-mails customers automatically when a booking is deleted so the customer can double-check.
My booking with the cruise line (and yours, it sound like) was never touched. This was just an accounting issue between CruiseCompete and the agency.
I had no problems at all. No reason why should worry about it.
The same thing happened to me with another booking company. When I called, all was OK. They had to re-enter some information, but everything was fine, and I took the cruise.
I have only one account with cruise compete. Interesting others have had it happen and all was well. Thank goodness!!
