My daughter and I are going to the E. Med cruise on Solstice 11/20-30 too. You may want to check out the cruisecritics.com and sign in on the rollcall since quite a few fellow passengers organize cab rides and etc. on that site.
We will take train since it's quite easy to do and we each will have a carry on so it's not a problem for us to do it on ourown.
We also plan to to all the excursions on our own too. I have bee nin Kusadasi last year and we will just hire a taxi this time to take us around.

Hi, I read you message a month ago but had technical difficulties and couldn't reply till now. But 6 of us are on this cruise also. The person who responded to go on cruisecritic.com is correct, lots of info there. I have opening for a half day tour to Ancient Ephesus and Terrace House, www.helloephesus.com and also seats for a transfer to Castelmola and Taormina. Let me know if you are interested.
