Cabin Location

We are traveling in few weeks to board our 1st cruise on Carnival. We just found out our cabin # and realized we are pretty close to an elevator-should we be concerned about noise? In the past we've also been on deck 7 or 8 but this time we are on 9 Lido Deck-is this good? And can we ask to be moved if we needed to?
Thanks

The Lido deck is our favorite deck! It is so convenient to everything. We have had cabins right next to the elevators and never heard a thing. The Atium elevators are also near the cabins, sort of across from the 4 other elevators, but no cabins back on any of these elevators, you'd be down the hall. You can always ask to be moved but you won't want to move!

I had always heard the warning not to be near elevators, but on cruise last spring with elderly mother I booked near elevators to accomodate her - noise was not a problem.

Maybe, and it's only MAYBE you can hear some drunks going to bed The elevators themselves are not noisy.

Thanks everyone, after reading responses I think we will stay in the cabin that was assigned.
This message board is so helpful, I knew I could call Carnival, but I knew I would get honest opinions on here.

Thanks again.
