Hello guys. As you know Celebrity allows two bottles of wine per cabin for in cabin use only. We will be on the Eqinox in Oct. and I am wondering about the price of wine in Civi. vs. duty free in the airport. I am particularly fond of an Amarone or a part Amarone/ripasso. Do you know if it would be less in Italy as its an Italian wine or would it be better to get it duty free? Thanks, Larry
Buy wine duty free or wait till we are in Italy

This may surprise you, but you can get decent wine in bulk at about any wine store in Italy.
They will have wine by the bottle, and also wine you can pour into your own liter water bottles.
I've tried it several times and the wine is more than fine.
My first time was in a small "jug" wine shop next to a grocery store in Venice. When I say jug, I mean the 10 gallon or so jugs with hoses and spigots. This shop had about 12-15 different wines, all labeled and at different prices. Prices are always by the liter, and fairly reasonable.
I'd bring on board 2 liter bottles, which is the equivalent of 2 2/3 bottles.
OK. Good idea about the litre bottles.

Thank you. Larry.

My Rasta only go so far mon. Translation please.
Will translate later, as I get time.
There is a Carrefour express in Civitavecchia. I've never been to an express, but Carrefour usually has very good selections.
One alternate idea is to put a box wine in your luggage. Bota Box is a decent brand, with Winespectator positive ratings for the Cab. 3 liters in one small box.
I have heard that X has an xray machine that defects alcohol even if its in a shampoo bottle! There for the Carrefour idea is good I think. I'll just get it there unless the duty free store in O'Hare has a great price. Thanks for the tips and the fun talk. Ah mon.
I poor Maroon bwoy I-man.
The Maroons are a very interesting group of people, with a culture unto themselves. They are ex-slaves that ran away, mostly in the 17th and 18th century. They inhabit the mountains of Jamaica, which are still largely uncharted.
No one goes there without permission, even the police.
