i have written earlier about the scam artists these people are. We had bought pieces on the Equinox in OCTOBER and non-receipt.. Parrot POP, Celebrity and British American Auctions.they had reached a partial compromise when they said they would send the Ted Williamss Collage he wanted... Guess what... it arrived today and it is NOT the piece we bought. The other piece is 'backordered' for another month.. and i truly believe it will never be the other piece we bought.. Tomorrow Parrot pop will contact Celebrity AGAIN.. i beg all of you not to go to their auctions..CELEBRITY, BRING BACK PARK WEST!!!

Park West??? Weren't they involved in a recent lawsuit?
Go to the auction for the free champagne and don't buy anything ...
ESCHEW--Parrot Pop spotted theTed Williams collage before the auction and was able to buy it without bidding.. The piece I wanted was just about $100.00....Dukey1.... I have never had a problem with Park West and they are still doing business on several lines, including NCL.. As for the champagne...that is why some people go to the auctions. and get "softened up"..ahead of time.. These pieces were NOT very $$$ but it is the idea they are selling and you are bidding on an item and suddenly they don't have that item and what they sent in the case of the Williams piece was far inferior...just a framed poster.
Help!
I feel like such an idiot. I took my entire family on an Alaskan cruise for my parents 50th anniversary. I bought over $3000 worth of art and my parents and brother also purchased items. I never thought that this could be a bad company if they were on the cruise line....
It has beeen 11 weeks today and they said between 8-10 weeks. I started panicking and came across this site. Please share all the contact info and ways that you were able to get someone to work with you.
Why would you even think of buying art work on a cruise ship.
Art and jewelry (unless you are an expert)- why does anyone buy these things on a cruise??? If you wouldn't spend $$$$$$ at home in a Gallery or a known jewelry store, why buy them elsewhere where you have no idea of quality or reality? It's a mystery to me.
I think that many people buy artwork or jewelry on a cruise as a type of memento or souvenir of their trip - or, at least if I were to buy something, that would be my thinking.
I doubt that many people really believe that they are making an investment by purchasing any artwork - I think it's something that will give them pleasant memories of their vacation whenever they see it.
A momento? Most of what I've seen reminds me not at all of my cruise. More like starving artist - reminisent of nothing at all.
Different strokes for different folks.
I've never purchased any artwork from a cruise, but I'm not going to knock anyone that chooses to.
I see the word "art" in almost every sentence. When somebody's work of art is copied, is this still art? Just wonder if people understand that what they buy is not an original art.
