A group of us are planning to cruise The Hawaiian Islands in the next year. Any input as to cruising weather conditions would be appreciated.

I would also be interested in an answer to this. I'm wondering whether March or September would be better. I'm leaning towards September.
the weather is pretty near perfect in Hawaii. September can have some muggy days when the tradewinds fade out, and is tecnically hurricane season. our winter months can get some windy, gray, or rainy days, but they're usually spaced out with other gorgeous days. It is only when you hit that rare string of several days of wind and rain that it feels miserable.
I have a friend who is working on a ship in Hawaii right now. He's been there since January and will leave in August and the weather has been perfect the whole time. It's pretty much beautiful year round. If you want to see a lot of whales though, go in February.
