My boyfriend and I want to take a cruise to Bermuda this summer and aren't sure which line to use. We are in our late 20's and looking for a little luxury and a young and fun atmosphere all in one. I heard that the Norweign Sea was just refurbished? Has anyone heard that or been on it since? Is there one line that far exceeds the others?? How do we choose?? thanks. Rachel

We sailed the Nordic Empress and loved it, but we also had kids and they had a very good kids program for such a small ship. You would probably find a younger crowd on this ship and NCL.
If you want luxury Radisson is sailing to Bermuda, and I saw a 2 for 1 special. That would really be nice, also Celebrity has 2 ships going and they are a notch above NCL and RCCL.
We are scheduled for the NCL Sea, this will be our 10th time to Bermuda with the other trips were from Boston on the Majesty and yes, the Sea was refurbished in January. NCL is offering a great program this year called "Dining Ashore"..it give you the opportunity to eat at many of the pubs and restaurants in St. George, Hamilton and the Dockyard. There are as Nina will tell you several ships like the Nordic Empress (which my friend absolutely loves), Carnival (party ship) and a Celebrity...For more info you can write me at parrotmom@attbi.com
I have never sailed to Bermuda - only Europe and the Caribbean. But i have read about cruises to Bermuda and it seems that mostly there are two ports and the ships go to only those two ports. the problem that I have heard is that when the ship is in port, some services are not available (stores and casino come to mind).
Anyway, if you want to have lots of activities,maybe look into what these ports have to offer and what you will be missing while in two ports on different sides of the same country.
Jm...there are three docks available in Bermuda. The Majesty is only allowed to dock in St. George..Others go to Hamilton and St. George and some go to all three St, George, Hamilton and the Dockyard. The Government of Bermuda strictly controls capacity of ships and use of their resources while they are docked. If there is a storm that MAY hit Bermuda ALL ship must leave their harbor and they do... All ships must close their casino while in port, any port and their shops. This seems to hold true of any cruise ship I have ever been on and in every port..
