Best cruise ship for solo cruise to Alaska?
Hello. I'm planning a last minute trip for myself and want to do an Alaskan cruise. I've always wanted to see this, and I have some time I want to make use of. I'm a single woman, mid-40s, and want to make sure that whatever cruise I take has good activities/classes, lectures, shows, and offers some flexibility for the single cruiser. I've looked at RCL, Celebrity, Princess, NCL, but I am overwhelmed and thought I should come ask the experts. Any recommendations on which cruise line to go with? Thank you!

Can't really help with most of your questions, but NCL (at least on one of their ships that I am familiar with) has single cabins that a solo traveler does not have to pay a premium for.
The downside of these cabins are they are quite small interior cabins. The upside is that on the ship I am familiar with, they are all grouped together and they have social activities and lounges geared for the single travelers.
I would suggest you go go to cruisecritic.com and dig deeper there as to what these ships might offer.
good luck and enjoy your travels

I heartily agree w/giro. I have taken a few NCL cruises. They have a hostess in the single cabin lounge in the
evenings & some folks gather to dine together.
Be forwarned that all ship excursions are expensive as are the taxes.
Your best bet is to take a hard look at cruisecritic.com which has a plethora of info & once you register for free you may post your queries on the appropriate ship board.
