Weather is generally great in Oct, still fine for playing on the beach, and tourist season is winding down, so the island overall won't be as crowded. Tourist activites are also winding down for the year, so there might be a little less entertainment going on. I don't know what the actual cruise across from the east coast is like that time of year, but once you're here, you'll have a great time.

October is the end of the cruise season and many Bermudians can't wait to get "off the rock".. but the negative part is that the seas may be very rough.. We have gone mid-October and prefer the second week in September.

Below you will find links to the 4 most recent reviews from Cruise critics on the NCL Dawn. All 4 reviews are from July 09 but the reviews are so different that you would have thought they are on different planets.

If this is your first cruise, you will love it. If you have cruised on any other cruise lines before, then you may have to adjust your expectation, and you can still have a great time.
