We stayed at the Hesperia del Port on Parallell.

At the Columbus statue the road goes straight: La rambla or angles to the left by the Maritime Museum: Parallell.

We come into port at 5am when our ship docks in April and we are staying there again. The door is locked and you must be buzzed in.

You MUST take either a cab or bus from the ship to outside the port area. Way too far to walk but the hotel is extremely close.

Hello, I would recommend you hotel Centre Esplai Albergue: http://www.booking.com/hotel/es/centre-esplai-hostel.en-gb.html?aid=312311; which is really close to the airport by bus (5 min). My plane took off at 5am so I had to be near the airport. You can use night buses (N16 to terminal 2 and N17 to terminal 1 operated each 20 minutes). It's not problem to check out e.g. at 3am because of the 24 hours reception and staff will give you a small breakfast package As a guest you may use the swimming pool at a cost of € 1.50 for all day Ideal for early start at airport. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

We liked the Hotel LLeo very much; while it's not quite walking distance to the port, it's short cab ride.

Try Renaissance Barcelona Airport Hotel. Free shuttle from airport and cost about 15-20 USD for shuttle to cruise port. Unfortuantely, the location is not in close proximity to anything. If you plan to get there, sleep and get out. This would be almost perfect.
