Yes, we did this cruise with Azamara 3 years ago and it was very good. Suggestions:
Go to www.cruisecritic.com because this website is one of the best for forums about the ports and will probably have a specific thread for you to "meet" others on your ship
Use a private tour guide in St. Petersburg. You'll find lots of recommendations on this board as well as CC ("Cruise Critic")
Go in early so you don't run the risk of missing your ship and to see the sites.
Those are just a couple of the many suggestions you'll get. I did a trip report and if you want to e-mail me I'll be happy to share. Also http://miner-heretodaytheretomorrow....1_archive.html

I like using the DK series of Travel books because of their colourful pictures.
Several years ago Percy wrote a Trip report on his Baltic Cruise which I like to call the "Baltic Bible".
If you search here you should be able to find it.
I also like patandhanks report..very good

Thanks for the kind words jmvp.
I also loved patandhanks Trip Report, I was a bit upset to read how they were held up in St. Petersburg.
I recently answered some question for Stockholm and Copenhagen so Clove7524 you can skim over the posting and perhaps some of the information would be of help.
