Will be going on the RC Navigator in a couple of weeks. Please tell me the procedure for attending the nightly shows. Do you have to sign up, get tickets or can you just show up? Also, is one formal night any dresser or "more formal" than the other?

You just need to show up for the show. The scheduled time depends upon your dinner seating. The Captain's night is the more formal of the two formal nights and so you could dress accordingly. We will be leaving for our Explorer cruise this Saturday. I have a long dress for Captain's night and the shorter cocktail dress for the second night.
Sharlene-
You do not need a long gown on a cruise for formal nite-
A midcalf cocktail dress , a cocktail MINI dress, a cocktail pants suit-
anything with sequins...ALL of that will be fine.....
You can even wear the same dress twice if you are limited on packing....
As for shows- You just show up....If you are on first seating , the show is after dinner--
If you are on second seating dining-the shows are sometimes before dinner and sometimes after dinner....
Have a blast!!!
