my husband and i are taking a cruise to st.george's, bermuda this june. we've never been there before, so we'd like suggestions for the best beaches to visit and places to snorkel. we have our own gear (won't need rentals). i've heard that elbow beach is great-but thought i'd read it had been affected by a past hurricane?? are there any bar/restaurants that we should avoid? is their tap water safe to drink? how difficult is it to use the public busing-are the routes confusing? are there any personal safety tips we should heed? any suggestions or information that anyone may share would be greatly appreciated!
Any Bermuda Info?

Bermuda is gorgeous- and you will love it..
One of the best bargains in town is to go into Hamilton and get on the FERRY that goes from resort to resort in the inner harbor..it is the cheapest way to see the island..also you can get off at a few of the resorts and pay another fee to get back to Hamilton...
Elbow Beach is fine-Lots of cruise ships send their guests there..Yes, tons of places got hit by the hurricane but by June, everything should be up and running smoothly..
Tap water is safe to drink...
Buses are safe and easy to use...FORGET the taxis as they are EXHORBITANTLY expensive...
Try the Lobster Pot for a great meal....
And make sure you explore the Caves...it is a gorgeous experience...
We are going back for the 10th time...we are BOP's (Bermuda Obsessed People) and a must is the Swizzle Inn...I assume your going to be on the Majesty (which date...we are going the 13th)..St. George is/was gorgeous and the bus/ferry system is great.. All roads by the bus lead to Hamilton..lol..eventually.. Try this site..http://server2.ezboard.com/bbermudashortsforum parrotmom@comcast.net for more info on the Majesty and wonderful St. George.
