I am about to book a trip to Antarctica with Quark aboard the Clipper. This is a fairly last minute trip, as I have been on the waitlist for months. A cabin just opened up, and I only have a few days before I have to place a deposit before the cabin goes to the next person on the waitlist.
I would like to stay a few extra days in Argentina after the cruise, and am considering El Calafate. However, I wonder if I will be slightly underwhelmed since I will be coming from the cruise. I've always heard such amazing things about Glacier Perito Moreno but didn't know if I would just be seeing more of the same thing. Has anyone here been to both?
I was in Argentina a few years ago and went to Bueno Aires, Iguazu, Mendoza, and Bariloche so I don't feel any great need to go back to those places, but I would like to extend the trip by a few days after the cruise.
I've just started reading all of the trip reports on this site and have loved everything I've read so far!
