Has anyone carried wine in their luggage on the Infinity? Is it still impossible to buy wine at ports and bring aboard? Thanks.

We just returned from sailing on the Infinity. We brought two very expensive bottles on board from our cellar and the corkage fee is $8. The point is to bring a special bottle on board that can't be purchased there -- not to save cash by bringing on a moderate-cheaply priced wine.

I just got back from a Carnival cruise and I brought an entire roller suitcase full of gin, tequila, whiskey, and pink wine with me. About 14 bottles in all. It can be done, and it should be done because otherwise you are paying way too much money to the barkeeper! We drank every last drop and had a party in our stateroom every nightime!!

I read your post to mean<BR> "ALCOHOL RULES!!!!"<BR>Yeah, mon!<BR>We alays pack a couple of our favs in luggage and haven't been caught. What can they do? Give it back at the end, right? Besides, we always buy enough fruity stuff and wine at dinner- also treat others- so that they make plenty off of us!

Pink wine is also known as "blush" wine, and is very popular. I've always enjoyed the Riunite brand which comes in sparkling or plain and is delicious over ice cubes.

EWWWWWWWW.<BR>pink wine is also white zinfandel I believe. I started with that, but just like some fine wine have improved with age!Only problem with appreciating good wine is that your spending will increase once you give up the screw tops and boxes with taps.
