We will be leaving from Seattle on our Alaskan cruise? My questions are--
how far is Bell Street pier from the Seattle/Tacoma airport? What is the best way to get from the airport to the pier? Can anyone recommend a good hotel in Seattle for the night before the cruise? Thanks for the help in advance. There will surely be more questions before we go.

Janie, the cruise ship facility at the Bell St. terminal is on the central waterfront in downtown Seattle. Downtown is around 10 miles/20 min. from the airport, limos, taxis and shuttles aplenty. There are numerous hotels in Seattle which might suit you, the closest and most unusual being the Edgewater Hotel, built over Elliott Bay just down the street from the cruise terminal. Not cheap but watching the shipping traffic go past your window might help get you pumped for your cruise. http://www.edgewaterhotel.com/
Hi Janie:
We were in Seattle two years ago and stayed at the Hotel Monaco. Our stay there was very nice and I thought the rate was reasonable compared to some of the other three and four star hotels I checke with.
