Hi Shirley, I went to the Windjammer 2 years ago and liked it so much that we bought a timeshare. We go back in 2 weeks and can't wait. It's a beautiful resort. Very laid back. Perfect beach vacation. They have a wonderful free childrens program and nannys for under 3yrs old. My 6yr old son loves it. It draws an international crowd, alot of people from England. We're from New York and it's nice to go on vacation and meet different people from different places. The units are spacious 1-4 bedrooms. They are built up a hillside with great views. Alot of the units are different from each other. Some 2 bedrooms are on 2 or 3 levels. They have kitchens and your own plunge pool. It's a real home away from home. Alot of the units are open with shutter windows and birds can fly in, maybe even a tadpole. If you have small children I would ask for a newer unit that has windows. There's a cart that shuttles you around the resort. Everything is easily assessible. They have 4 resturants. The food is quite good. The beach is very nice. When we went last year it was after a hurricane and there was lots of broken coral on the sand. They did clean it up every day though. Very good watersports. St. Lucia is a beautiful island. I hope I answered all your questions. If you have any more questions post it on this board. The web site for Windjammer is www.wlv-resort.com.
Hi,
We went to St. Lucia with a reservation at Club St. Lucia (YUKE) transfered over to the Windjammer Landing on the day of arrival. We were in HEAVEN. We took our son, then 8 months, with us and had a wonderful time. We were greeted with a beautiful room, beautiful view and beautiful staff. Could not have been happier. I whole heartedly recommend staying there. We did not take advantage of the nanny service, so I don't have any thoughts to pass on. Our pictures of our trip are better than postcard, the grounds of W.L. are awesome!
