Which St. Thomas resort would you pick?

Jump to last reply

Hi! Quick overview: hubby and I are traveling for 6 nights to St. John/St. Thomas. Already planning to spend 4 nights on villa in quiet, secluded St. John. Husband would like to spend 2 night on St. Thomas at a large resort (more his travel style ~ marriage is all about compromise!).

Criteria: safe resort with a nice beach and easy access to restaurants, shopping, etc (we don't plan to have a car on St. Thomas). Traveling in high season so price limited to $350 per night (Ritz is out!) Friends stayed at Marriotts Frenchman Cove and loved it but they only have $600/nt 2 room villas available on our travel dates, so that property's out too.

Based on the above, which would you recommend?
* Bolongo Bay - oceanview room
* Marriott Frenchman's Reef & MorningStar - waterview room
* Point Pleasant - junior suite
* Sapphire Beach - yacht harbor suite (restaurant closed?)
* Wyndham Sugar Bay
* Secret Harbour -

As always, thanks for your input!
