I am going on my honeymoon to Anguilla and St. Barth's in early August. (5 days on each island)
On Anguilla, we plan on laying around at the beach and eating fine food - the ultimate in relaxing (massages, spa, etc.)
Soooo.. when we go to St.Barth's, I would like to do a little more "out and about." I know there's not a ton to do there (which is fine) but I'd like to stay somewhere that is near some sort of "town" atmosphere - with some nightlife or restaurants, shops, etc.
BUT - we still want to be near a beach and do some of that too!
I am looking at Guanahani, Isle De France, Carl Gustav, Le Toiny...
If you've been - what would give us the most of what we are looking for?
Any advice would be appreciated.
I tried the sbhonline.com boards but couldn't find the answer!
Where to stay..based on what we want..

Toiny is pretty isolated, but gorgeous views. For spa, it's impossible to beat the Isle de France (on the Island's best beach) which has one may wife loves right on site. We stay at a private Villa on the hillside above the hotel, 10 min drive to town and walking distance to bakery, and fine restaurants & grocery. One problem. In summer there is less breeze and it's nice to be a little higher up off the beach. Gustav is right in Gustavia but a very hard walk down, and the beach nearby Shell is not one you'll see as a favorite. Guanahani has a smaller spa, nice beach but not close to anything either.
There is lots to do on St.Barts. Snorkeling, nighlife, fine dining, sexy--beautiful beaches. The entire Island is a resort!
