My family would really love to go to Bonaire based on the snorkeling and diving they have to offer. However, I am more of a person who like some night life. I don't need a lot and it doesn't have to be glitzy. I also like a nice resort with good restaurants. Any suggestions.

Shari:
Just came back in June from Bonaire, stayed at the Plaza -- spectacular!! E-mail me direct and we can talk!! Also, check out "www.infobonaire.com/newsgroup", they can direct you to nightlife although I don't think there's a lot but I bet the locals on that newsgroup can help. I'd love to tell you more, you will not be disappointed with the diving/snorkeling and I can recommend some great places to eat. I also have a few pictures I can send you of Pink Beach and an underwater one too.
We also stayed at the Plaza and it was very nice. We checked out all the other properties except Harbor Village and the Plaza was by far the nicest and had the nicest beach. The food was terrible when we were there. They had a problem either overcooking or undercooking things and the breakfast buffet on Sunday was canned fruit and lunch meat.
We stayed at the Plaza and found everything to our liking. The snorkeling from the beautiful beach was superb. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a restaurant go to Richard's. This fine restaurant is right outside the second entrance to the Plaza.
