Hi
if you are interested by St Barth you must to know that the beaches are not privates.
I have a very good friend who rent a new lovely cottage for 2 people (maxi3) on St Bart, with tropical garden and private pool

Bye bye
We've been going to St. Barths once or twice a year for 15 years. Way more to do and better food than Anguilla. All beaches are public, most of the 18 are beautiful. Isle de France is a lovely property. The beach it's on is beautiful but after noon the position of the sun necessitates that you lie with your head facing the ocean, rather than your feet. A bit weird. The beach is long, pristine, uncrowded and can have huge waves. Isle de France rooms are small, but pretty. The restaurant is lovely, the staff gracious (ask for Patrick). The property is run by a couple (he's English, she American). The crowd is all ages, mostly New Yorkers, quite friendly. Eden Rock is a great property, but I only know the restaurants intimately, not the rooms. The beach restaurant is one of my favorite spots for lunch (ask for Sandrine),the formal dining room gorgeous for dinner but formal with a great sommelier. The food and wine are outstanding. It's been recently redone and I hear the rooms are very nice. The crowd is mixed in age and diverse in background - Europeans, Americans and Canadians. Finally, Guanahani...not a property I like. OK for lunch. Big attitude from the staff, cottages are pretty but are often located off the beaten path. At the very far end of the island, a shlep to everywhere. More touristy than most others. Crowd age is older (due to cost) and mostly Americans, a few Germans. In case you're wondering...we only rent a villa for privacy, value, view, convenience, midnight swims and many other reasons. Feel free to email me if you want more info. Hope this helps. Hppy Holidays.
