Where to go in November...

Having a hard time deciding where to go in November (week before Thanksgiving) for my 30th bday for 4 or 5 nights. Right now the BVIs are leading the race...but not sure, esp because they are the most annoying of the bunch to get to from NYC.

Priorities:
Beautiful sandy beaches, clear blue water, good beach walking.
Quiet
No hassles (ie do not want to have to get up early to reserve beach chairs, etc)
Small hotel. Cabana/villa style a plus.
Access to sailing (ie catamarans at the hotel)
Daytrip possibilities a big plus (like Jost Van Dyke or Anegada in BVI).
Good snorkelling, but probably only going to snorkel one day.
Food had better be good and fresh, but indifferent to AI or going out.

Don't care about nightlife.
Don't care about super luxury/intrusive service/etc. As long as it's clean and views are great we're happy.

So far options:
Frenchmens Tortola
Guana Island (but a bit expensive unless it shows up in luxurylink). Also seems like you can't get to the other little islands from here for daytrips - maybe not necessary?
St Martin - Le Petit Hotel
Frangipani in Anguilla.
Something on St John?
Turks - seems much more busy and resort-y, but easy to get to from NYC
Any other suggestions? Where will we have least chance of bad weather in November?

Thanks

www.weather2travel.com Climate guides lots of storms then

but maho.org at St John has the sort of vibe you describe.

Aruba Bonaire out of the storm belt also nice

Cabo is nice fairly low rain

Kohala Coast Big Island stayhawaii.com

Happy Hunting,

St. Martin has direct flights from NYC so you can be there in 4 hours. Weather is great in November and food is the best in all the Caribbean. St. Martin truly has something for every body and you can't beat Grand Case to get away from it all.

And Once you land in St Maarten, you can take a wter taxi, ferry or plane to Anguilla. Mead's Bay (where Frangi is) is a great beach, but you can also beach hop to nearby Maunday's Bay and Cove Bay, or a slight longer ride to Shoal Bay. Anguilla is peaceful, quiet, and also known for it's beaches
