My husband and I are looking for somewhere in the Caribbean to go at the end of January. We prefer a more laid back vacation with hiking, biking, tennis, snorkeling etc (no big casinos and shopping)...I was looking at St. Kitts/Nevis and maybe Anguilla. I am unsure which island to stay at for 3-4 days, St. Kitts or Nevis? Then we were going to go to Anguilla for 3-4 days. Does this plan make sense and which would you stay at?

I can only tell you first hand about Anguilla. Anguilla is extremly laid back - there really is nothing to do, which some believe is it's charm. It's made up of spectacular beaches, high end and many exclusive low rise small hotels and fabulous restaurants. We spent about 10 days there and really just laid around on the beach, went diving, and had fantastic dinners. There is no hiking, or really any place notable to bike. Anguilla's interior is rather unexiting (not dramatic mountains or rain forests, just flat scrubby land), but it definitely makes up for it in the beauty of the beaches. You cannot get there direct from the US - you must connect through San Juan or take the ferry from St. Martin. I can't imagine only spending 3 days on Anguilla and then being ready to leave. As you can tell, I'm a huge fan. One caveat though - it's extremly expensive.
I commented on your other thread, but now that I see you don't care for casinos and shopping. Therefore, my suggestion of St. Maarten/St. Martin may not be the best choice for you.
You might be better off looking into St. Barth's.
Good luck.
