Where is the best Sandals/Couples/Beaches resort outside of Jamaica

Looking for the best Sandals resort outside of Jamaica. Do not want to go to Jamaica. Like to leave resort on my on schedule and tours. Have heard great reports on Sandals but notice they are significantly more expensive than other all-inclusives. Ten year anniversary so looking for special place.

Sandals is a great choice for an anniversary vacation. If you want to keep away from Jamaica go to Sandals St Lucia or Sandals Antigua ---amazing, tranqual, beautiful resorts with fab beaches! It will be a bit more expensive than Jamaica, but well worth it.

Good luck!!

How about the Sandals in the Bahamas. Is the Royal Bahamian better than the Atlantis and worth all the money.

We loved Sandals Royal Bahamian. The main difference for us between the Atlantis and Sandals was Sandals is adults only. Atlantis is huge, and lots of families stay there. Be sure to make a trip over to Atlantis to see it, it is worth the trip. However for a 10 year anniversary, Sandals would be a great choice. Feel free to e-mail me directly if you have additional questions.

Antigua. The bartenders, cooks and the food is the best. Nightly gatherings are well planned out. For a special anniversary, Antigua will provide a warm relaxing environment, much like your most favorite place at home. The rooms are richly decorated. And unlike your favorite place at home, this one has a splendid view of the sea.

We have been to many Sandals as well as other all-inclusives and we recommend Sandals. We have always enjoyed ourselves and found food and service to be very good as well as like that it is truely all-inclusive - no hidden costs.

Outside of Jamaica, we have been to Sandals Bahamas, Halycon, Antigua and Beaches Turks and they really are pretty different so does depend on what you are specifically looking for. Bahamas and Sandals St. Lucia are the largest and grandest but neither has a good beach. Sandals Bahamas is very impresive, great off shore island, wonderful dining choices but we felt, over priced.

Sandals Antigua is our favorite out of the groups - the grounds are very lush and tropical, nicely spread out, romantic and very relaxiing. The beach is very long and jsut a great feeling there!

Halycon is also great - it si more laid back, proubly oone of the quieter Sandals but so lush in foliage! Very green and alot more to see and do on St. Lucia as compared to Antigua. It is very laid back and relaxing but like how the larger Sandals is there for more activity - not that we took advantage of that!

I do have pic's of the resorts from our travels - jsut email me for the site. Also, you could read up on reviews on a site called "Caribbean Travel Roundup".

Penney

Are there any exotic spa resorts in either St. Martin or St. Thomas. I have noticed that both islands are cheaper than the Sandals in the Bahamas. Aruba is also much cheaper. Can't understand that.

Bahamas, in general are not expensive (depending on the resort) to get to but the sandals there is considered one of the top resorts in the Sandals chain, thus the high price. Aruba and Jamaica are always lower - cheap to get to.
