What island has non-stop flights from the Washington DC area?

We are planning a family vacation with a 1 yr old and a 3 yr old. I can narrow down the AIs just fine and I really dont care which island to vacation at, because we will most likely just stay at the AI. We just REALLY need a vacation. The big caveat is that we do not want to make connections with the two little ones in tow.
Thanks!!

Your pickings are slim, basically Puerto Rico, sometimes you'll find Dominican Republic or Bahamas (Freeport or Nassau, usually on AirTran).

Really the flights to T&C are not bad at all, even with connection. Very family friendly, and tons of kids on the flights, so you're not the only one.

Having tagged what you did, keep in mind that some islands are know for AIs, some not, so that might lower your list even more. The "knowns" are DR, Mexico, there are a couple sprinkled on others, but those islands aren't know for AIs.

From BWI, there are nonstops to Jamaica - and there are a number of AI's there so may work better than P.R., for example. Beaches Negril is a good option with very little ones although I don't know your budget.

Depending on time of year and constant changing by the airlines, there are some NS's to Nassau (Air Tran BWI and US Air DCA), some to Bermuda (check Air Tran out of BWI). Sometimes NS to Aruba and Grand Cayman as well.

Oh... and Aruba has a few AI's. Grand Cayman not so much.

Jamaica or look at the Caribbean coast of Mexico (Cancun, then onto Playa del Carmen area, Mayan Riviera).

United has nonstops from Washington Dulles (IAD) to St. Thomas (STT). From there it is a short ferry to St. John, Tortola, or Virgin Gorda, for example.
