My family of four (kids 13/10) will be going to Turks and Caicos in late March. Wondering what area to stay in? Grace Bay seems to be the most popular, but would like to avoid the crowds. How crowded does it get during spring break season? Thinking of renting a condo, but not sure of where. Looking for great beaches for kayaking and paddle boards. We will also be renting a car. Are the beaches easy to assess? Is wifi really that bad around Northwest Point resort? thanks!

90% of the rental condos in the T&C's are on Providenciales' Grace Bay - they are great places to stay sine you have all the conveniences of a private dwelling plus the facilities of a full service resort.

Grace Bay is eleven miles long so even on the busiest days the beach never seems very crowded. If the beach at your condo 'feels" crowded to you simply walk 100 yards or so down the beach any you'll be virtually alone.

Spring break in the T&C's is popular with families (just like yours) - it is not a a destination where you'll find the "typical" rowdy college spring breakers.

Lots of condo resorts have kayaks and paddle boards available for their guests - if your doesn't there are places around the island where you can rent them for a nominal fee.

Good idea to rent a care - consider renting a 4WD vehicle if you want to drive out to some of the more remote beaches on the islands as the roads to those places are often unimproved dirt two-tracks.

Most of Grace Bay is easily accessible from "Beach Access" paths leading from parking areas near the roadway - of course, if you are renting a a beachfront or beach access condo you can access the beach from your unit and walk the entire length of Grace Bay.

Many but not all of the other beaches on the island can be readily accessed via pathways.

Sorry, an't comment on the WiFi at Northwest Point Resort.

Forget northwest point. It's out there on an isolated dirt road, 30 minutes to any little thing you do

What's your budget? A lot of places are already sold out March

Even at its most crowded it's not Spring break crazy feeling

Thanks for the great responses! Looking to spend about 400/night. I did find a nice property, but it's on a canal and I'm not sure about that.

$400 for 4 persons in Marchis not realistic, because there are certain areas to avoid

If you don't mindoff thebeach or pull out couch try: inn at GraceBay

A terrific place to stay a block from the beach is 2 story 2 bedroom Townhomes--Grace Bay Townhomes

If you can up your budget the best affordable place is Ocean Club West

First time you want to stay along Grace Bay, which includes Turtle Cove Thru Leeward/Pelican

Discovery Bay for me is not disirable

Also at your budgetkeep in mind you'll need a rental car, as walking at nightfrom dinner is not advised--because TCI is not built up like other destinations and there's plenty of scrubby dark lots in between most places.
