zoe- The problem isn't which island, it's always hard (impossible) to find the packaged deals for solo travelers. They pretty much always try to stick you with the dreaded "single supplement". Air/hotel packages are always based on "double occupancy".

Have you looked at just booking your own trip? Buy a plane ticket. Reserve a hotel. Buy your own food. It's easy and you have more control over your experience. Negril Jamaica is nice. Or Playa del Carmen Mexico.

I agree with Suze. Trying to find an AI package deal for a single is almost non-existant. I would check with a TA.

Cozumel is a great Island for a single. There are cute boutique hotels that won't cost alot and the little town of San Miguel has wonderful restaurants. We have done the AI thing a few times there, but it is not necessary.

5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen also has many restaurants and boutique hotels. It's a lot more active and social than Cozumel.

Another thought is to look at the Club Med properties. They are AI and serve a single crowd.
