Wedding in Bermuda?

My fiance and I are thinking about planning a very small wedding in Bermuda this Sept. Is anyone familiar w/ a location/place that has packages available?
I have seen them in the Caribean but not in the Bermuda in my research so far.

Our friends got married at Elbow beach 2 summers ago. It was quite lovely. The cerempny was down on the beach, coctails were out on a terrace and dinner and dancing were in a ballroom. The whole weekend was very nicely done. I know they had also looked at a few other places, but i'm not sure which. I just know they had a few options.

I just got back from a beautiful wedding in PR at the San Juan Ritz. As I was not the bride I don't know how much it cost, but it was very unique.

Diane, are you still out there? I just typed in a search for Bermuda and weddings and your old email came up. Did you end up getting married in Bermuda? If so, I would love to hear about the wedding and the options that you discovered. My fiance and I are thinking about an August 2005 wedding there.

If anyone else knows has any info/suggestions on weddings in Bermuda, I'd love to hear from you as well. Thanks!

While I was vacationing at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess, a small wedding took place outside, overlooking the harbor and the moongate. I would say about 50 people were present and afterwards, they all walked to the Waterloo house for the reception (only know this because I was leaving the building heading towards town when they made the walk). So that tells me you can have a wedding at a hotel, but not necessarily the reception and gives you greater flexibility over dining options and cost. In this case, dining at the Waterloo would be a plus over the HP.

Thanks for sharing that info. with me. At least now I know it can be done. Do you by any chance have any suggestions on the best places to stay, dine, what place would make an ideal wedding ceremony backdrop, etc. while in Bermuda? I have never been there. Thanks again!

Meece...a friend of my daughter's got married in Bermuda last July at The Reefs. Go to their website:

http://www.thereefs.com/reefs/home.html

Also check out bermuda.com and click on weddings.

While visiting in Bermuda two weeks ago, we saw two weddings...one on the beach and another at the Hamilton Princess. Bermuda is a gorgeous place to be married in.

Your budget will control a lot of the choices. St. Peter's Church in Georgetown is gorgeous, Cambridge Beach...fabulous, Pink Beach or Ariel Sands, great choices. Go to www.bermudatourism.com and look at the hotels. Pick one which you think is beautiful and call them. They can do all the coordination for you. I cannot imagine a more beautiful place to wed. Best wishes.

According to "another" travel guide, wedding consultants can discuss options and arrange details (for a fee, of course). But you can check out prices and pertinent information on these links:

The Wedding Salon
www.bermudaweddingsalon.com

The Bridal Salon
www.bridalsuitebermudaweddings.com

It also says the Sonesta Beach, Elbow Beach Hotel, and the Fairmont Princess hotels will "arrange" weddings.

Good luck and congratulations gt;

Also try Bermuda Bride at 1-441-232-2344 or visit www.bermudabride.com. What a breathtaking place to get married. The possibilities are endless there. You can arrive by horse and carriage and get married in a lush garden with all the beautiful flowers and the scent of all of them. It could be followed up by cocktails and hors d' oeuvres. Or a romantic seaside cove, or whatever your fantasy is. I'm sure that Bermuda will be a great choice for you.

Don?t forget the formalities that will need to be completed in order to get married, i.e, a marriage license. Take a look at http://www.bermudatourism.com/defaul...g_hm_main.html or call the Bermuda Registrar General?s Office (441-297-7709) . The license costs $240 and takes a few days or weeks to process.
