We have narrowed down our choices for our honeymoon the week of April 9
We have decided to go to either Excellence Punta Cana (Cominican Republic) or Royal Hideaway Playacar (Mexico).
We arent too sure which of the two to go to, I am leaning toward Royal Hideaway, even though it's a bit more expensive and longer travel.
How do we make up our minds?
Is there a way to know if we're getting a good deal?

bookit.com
luxurylink.com
will have best deals.
Puntacana.com more resorty casinos better golf
PDC flat whiter sand great snorkel at nearby Xel-ha.com
Ruins nearby at ecotulum.com Chichen Itza not as hilly
or green as DR.
Playacar for me not big on gaming or golf more of a beach type
Congrats!

Having been to both the DR and Mexico I would also choose Mexico.
We have actually stayed at Excellence PC and loved it, but there is much more to do off the resort grounds in Mexico. Royal Hideaway is a wonderful resort on a very nice beach that was restored last year. Service is top notch.

Without hesitation I would choose Mexico and the Royal Hideaway seems to have always gotten consistant good reviews. After all this is your honeymoon, so enjoy! Splurge somewhat. Mexico will offer much more to do and see. DR you will be mostly confined to the resort. Mexico is a fun place.

Great choice! My husband and I stayed at Royal Hideway back in '02 and absolutely loved it! The food and service was top knotch. So much better then a Sandals! It doesn't even feel like a typical AI resort.
