Help. Been to most Caribbean islands: Dominican Republic, St Thomas, St Croix, Aruba, Trinidad, Puerto Rico, Bermuda, Turc & Caicos. Want something different, preferably french... romantic but at the same time great nightlife (don't care about casinos) good martinis, excellent wine, superb cuisine and great, amusing people.

St. Barts fits your description. Stay at the Hotel Guanahani - beautiful.
Saw your request. I would actually recommend St. Martin, (French side). I have quite a few wonderful private villas and condos there. Would be happy to assist you to find the right place.
See my website: www.personalchoicevillas.com
Note: St, Barths is also a great option but the people there are not as nice as in St. Martin. They can be a bit snobby. Just my observation. Good luck.
You haven't been to "most" Caribbean islands. You have tons more to pick from. There are at least a dozen in the Grenadines, then there is the BVI, the Caymans. The list is pretty long.
What you want is St. Barthelemy!
I would also vote for St. Barths but it is very expensive, especially in season. Not that great for night life although you tend to eat late and after that rich food, you're usually ready for some sleep(unless you're one of those teenagers who never seem to sleep)
