Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach

Has anyone stayed recently at the Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach? I understand it used to be a dive, but I think it has been rebuilt. Is it worth a stay? And how's the food? Thanks

mrsbu, I read your report. Thanks for the info. The price looked to good to be a good place. Did you know anything about the Sheraton at Our Lucaya? We are just looking for a warm, inexpensive getaway.

Hi
I havenever been to the Sheraton, but I liked the location. Most peoploe who left Viva went to the Sheraton, I have heard that everything there is very expensive. So head across the street to Port Lucaya for meals. We did meet a couple on the way bnack that had stayed at the SHeraton and said they were dissapointed in the place. They didn't say why. BUt it's has to be better then Camp Viva

We're decided to go to St Thomas instead. Does anyone have recommendations for St Thomas. Thanks, DK52

It is still a dive. The rooms are dirty and very run down. The food was typical cheap buffet food. My husband and I listened to a domestic fight between a man and woman in the room next door. We head yelling, someone being thrown into the wall and things being thrown on the floor. Very scary but the worst part was when we tried calling the front desk and no one answered. We told the front desk the next morning about what had happened and their reply was they don't have anyone answer the phone late at night. This was at 11 pm. This resort is low budget.
